Dean Haglund, who memorably played Lone Gunman Richard “Ringo” Langley in the X-Files, has confirmed that he will play eccentric psychiatrist Dr. Dale in “Stop It, Said The Raven”, for Windtalker Productions. Markus Innocenti is set to direct.

“We’re very excited that Dean has come onboard”, says Windtalker’s Phil Aslaksen, “his presence in our cast elevates our project and positions us to broaden our target audience”. Aslaksen wrote the screenplay and, in addition to his producer and stunt co-ordinating duties, will also play the role of “Erik” in the forthcoming production.

Last night, in a secret ceremony at an undisclosed location on Fairfax and 3rd, Markus Innocenti was inducted into the Writers Guild of America (west).
“I am unable to reveal the exact nature of what took place,” Innocenti said, early this morning,”other than I am now a part of something bigger than myself. And older. Much older. And bigger.”

After 18 gruelling days, principal photography on “The Missing Link” was completed on April 11th. Directed by Markus Innocenti, for producers Dan Sheldon and Michael King, the story is set in an absurd pre-historical period. Casey Morgan plays “Patrick”, a highly evolved man captured by “Grog” (Michael King), leader of a tribe of cave-dwellers.
The film was directed in the spirit of the British “Carry On” comedies, from a Michael and Nick King/Dan Sheldon script lovingly influenced by the work of Mel Brooks. The production was primarily shot on locations in Thousand Oaks, Malibu and Pasadena. A cave set was built in Glendale for interior sequences, and additional exteriors were shot at the legendary Vasquez Rocks near Acqua Dulce, California.

“Flame of the West”, the poignant debut short feature Written and Directed by Hannah Cowley and Executive Produced by Markus Innocenti, has been selected for the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival, which this year is to be held between October 14th - 18th.

After gruelling months of post-production, with the final 18 VFX shots placed and a finished 5.1 soundtrack that totally rocks - Fedex took the baby away. Filmmaker Jesse Pomeroy today submitted “World Full of Nothing” to the Sundance Film Festival. Now it’s wait and see.
Whatever happens, completing a movie is a major life achievement for any filmmaker - so congratulations to Jesse Pomeroy, and many thanks to everyone who helped and supported us in the making of WFON.

Markus Innocenti has joined in a co-venture with Windtalker Productions to develop and produce ‘Stop It, Said The Raven’, from a screenplay by Phil Aslaksen, with Markus Innocenti set to direct.
The project is a re-invention of the 1970’s Italian ‘giallo’ genre, made popular by filmmakers like Dario Argento, Umberto Lenzi and Mario Bava.
Strong interest has already been expressed by qualified investors, and talent attachments are expected to be announced shortly.

Last summer, Markus Innocenti spent a tough 12 days on locations in Malibu, Santa Monica and North Hollywood as 1st AD and Co-Producer on “Divided We Stand“, starring Jeremy London and Stephen Polk. The project has been re-named “The Divided” and is ready to be screened in the next few weeks. The film deals with a brother and sister relationship torn apart by contemporary events in the Middle East.

Jesse Pomeroy’s “World Full of Nothing” is about to go onto the dubbing stage at Larson in Hollywood for its final theatrical mix. The film examines issues of teenage suicide and isolation, against a background of media and authority figures failing to come to terms with their inadequacy to respond. Markus Innocenti co-produces and appears in a rare acting role as “Mooney”, from the FBI.

“Gam3rs, Geeks and Zombies” , the $3m project Markus Innocenti was attached to direct in 2007, is still seeking financing. Producers Melissa Tracy, Loren Kinsella, Henryk Cymerman and Joseph Kung state that the project remains in active development. Once funding has been secured, and a firm start date set, the producers have indicated that they would again seek to attach Markus - subject to his availability.
